Her Story: Ruth

My name means "Friend."

My story may be found in the Old Testament in the book of Ruth. I was a widow, but I was not alone.  Naomi had become as my very own mother. How could I leave her?  I vowed to stay by her side, but most importantly, that her God would be my God. Naomi suffered much loss and was bitter, but the Lord showed us such sweetness through our kinsmen redeemer, Boaz.  Little did I know what the Lord had in store for me, a foreigner whose life would forever be changed beyond my wildest dreams, the moment I spoke the words "I will go."
